KTP
Potassium Titanyl Phosphate (KTiOPO4 or KTP) is a nonlinear optical crystal, which possesses excellent nonlinear and electro-optic properties. It has large nonlinear optical coefficients and wide angular bandwidth and small walk-off angle, etc. which make it suitable for various nonlinear frequency conversion and wave guide online-ordering.
Due to very high effective nonlinearity (deff ~8.3×d36 (KDP) at 1.06μ m) and excellent optical properties, KTP perfectly suits as lasing material in various online-ordering. The phase matching range of KTP crystal lies in 0.99-3.3 μ m region .This allows us to use KTP as an intracavity and extracavity frequency double for the most commonly used lasers, such as Nd:YAG, Nd:Glass and Nd:YLF.

KTPs Applications

  1. Frequency doubling (SHG) of Nd-doped lasers for green/red outputs.
  2. Frequency mixing (SFM) of Nd lasers and diode lasers for blue outputs.
  3. Parametric sources (OPG, OPA and OPO) for 600nm-4500nm tunable outputs.
  4. E-O modulators, optical switches, directional couplers.
  5. Optical waveguides for integrated NLO and E-O devices
